Q. What brought you to Bushcare?
When we moved into the area over five years ago a neighbour came and invited us to attend. It’s as simple as that.
Q. What are the challenges (if any) you find both positive and negative?
Positive challenges are doing enough to make a difference month by month. Negative challenges are when sometimes the carelessness of others undoes some of the good work. I could nominate dumping of waste in reserve areas as one.
Q. What is your favourite/most hated plant and why?
Favourite: It’s hard to go past Bottlebrush. It makes such a great display in Spring (and sometimes Autumn).
Most hated: Lantana equal with our latest challenge, the dreaded Madeira vine. Both are insidious colonisers.
Q. If you could invite four of the people who inspire you to dinner, who would you pick?
First up would be past Australian cricket captain Allan Border. I would also pick Nelson Mandela, Jacqueline Freney (Paralympic champion swimmer) and comedian Adam Hills.
