Bushcare & Landcare Picnic – Megalong Valley
Saturday 29 October, 2022 @ 11:30 am – 4:00 pm
The 30 year celebration of councils supported Bushcare & Landcare Program. This year the Gang Gangs will be calling a bush dance to celebrate our face to face picnic returning.
BBQ lunch will be served and to ensure we are sustainable as possible we ask that you bring a waterbottle, your bushcare mug and a plate to dine off.
There will be some kids craft and activities.
We will be running our Bushcare Awards revealing who will be this years’ Bushcare Legend and awarding the Hard Yakka, Master, Landcare and Junior Bushcare awards. We will also honour our Bushcare and Landcare groups who have an anniversary by awarding 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 year service awards.
Perfectly timed for the date of the Bushcare Picnic is the iNaturalist Great Southern BioBlitz 2022 (GSB2022) and GSB2022 Moth Night. Help scientists by participating in the biggest BioBlitz in the southern hemisphere.

Travel
The road to the Megalong Valley is in poor condition due to the rain events earlier in the year. Please add extra time for your journey. The bus will be running this year to transport those who need a lift. Please book your place on the bus when you RSVP by clicking “Count me in” below and completing the relevant details.
