Free Water bugs workshop
Sunday 21 June @ 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Dive into the alien world of water bugs with Australia’s leading expert.
Hidden beneath the waterline of the Blue Mountains are over 130 families of incredible invertebrates. From living fossils 240 million years older than the first T-Rex, to skilled stonemasons the size of a rice grain. Water bugs are the backbone of aquatic ecosystems – they keep our creeks clean and our platypus fed. They can even tell us how healthy a creek is.
This half day, hands on workshop is your chance to learn from John Gooderham – the leading expert for Australia and New Guinea. You’ll learn how to collect and identify Water bugs, and even conduct your own waterway health checks based on the results.
This is a one-off event with limited spaces available, so make sure to get in quick. Morning tea provided, RSVP’s are essential.
