Planting for Butterflies
Sunday 16 May, 2021 @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Help rehabilitate this area for Butterflies
A hill-topping site is a place where butterflies can come to find a mate. Hill-topping behaviour refers to those species with adult males that congregate on prominent or raised areas.
Come along to help protect this important site. Rocks provide a resting area and the planting of native vegetation provides feeding plants for butterflies.
Loss of Butterfly Hill-topping sites has been identifed as a Key Threatening Process under the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016
