The Leura Cascades Bushcare Group was established in 1998. The members have particularly undertaken a lot of work managing substantial, highly erosive storm-water flows at Peter Carroll oval and Commonwealth Street, and restoring degraded, eroded bushland and swamps on those sites. Work has also been undertaken restoring the swamps below Jersey Avenue, and managing weeds at Meeting of the Waters and along Leura Cascades (Leura Falls Creek).
