It was a great honour to receive BMCC’s Bushcare Golden Trowel Award for 2011 and I would like to thank and congratulate all of the volunteers
who participate in BMCC Bushcare.
I commend the BMCC Bushcare Team for so ably facilitating the work of we volunteers and acknowledge the skilled contributions of the many other members of BMCC who provide environmental services such as landcare, swampcare, aquatic services, education and bush regeneration.
I can most definitely say that I have reaped far greater benefits from participating than I have bestowed and it has been a privilege to be associated with all of you, past and present. Together we all act as a positive force for righting the mistakes of the past and helping to maintain the cherished values of the native environment that we all appreciate.
